Hagino obtained Bachelor Degree of International Private Law, Hokkai Gakuen University, Sapporo, Japan, and MBA in Painting; National School of Fine Arts, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México and studied contemporary art in Inter Medium Institute, Osaka, Japan.

She decided to be an artist during a long journey from Canada to the United States of America. She moved to Mexico City since 1996, and then entered to a Painting course in the master degree of Fine Arts of Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.
Even though, she started to have interest in conceptual art, sculpture, performance and installation. Her works are the search of the existence of the alienated human being and individuals in the mass. She works in a variety of materials for her expression such as video, photography, resin, concert of piano, etc.

Actually she lives and works in Mexico City. Her solo exhibitions are Proyecto JAPÓN-A country in the memories-, Mexico city international airport T1, (with Taro Zorrilla, 2010), BLUE PIANO, Sala de Arte Público Siqueiros (piano : Aki Takahashi, Mexico City, 2005), Flower Place-Already Made-, Garash Gallery, (with Jason Rhoades, Mexico City, 2004), Apertura del Primer Capítulo, -Already Made-, OPA (with Jason Rhoades, Guadalajara, Jal, 2003) and participates in several group exhibitions in Mexico, Asia, United States and Europe.

The series of exhibitions –Already Made- is a series  in which she coordinates, and where she creates interventions with the other artists participating in each exhibition.

She also curates and coordinates workshops and exhibitions like Aviso Especial, in the National Center for the Arts (curated by Eusebio Buñuelos, Mexico City, 2009), Murder Pretended, (curated by Naotaka Hiro, Casa Vecina, 2007/Festival Cervantino, 2008), Crystal Jungle, (curated by Mihoko Hagino, University Museum of Chopo, 2011). She is one of the founder members of the Group Fundación Paisaje Social A.C. (Social Landscape, Mexico City, 2009) that involves research and intervention to public space collaborating with artists in order to improve the life situation of people in different areas.

Artista, nacida en Japón, actualmente vive y trabaja en la Ciudad de México.

En sus trabajos indaga el ser humano y el individuo dentro de la masa, enfocanda al “Individuo alienado” de manera geográfica, histórica, física o por identidad y el contorno social.

Con diversidad en género, en su profesión, maneja desde arte conceptual, instalación, performance, escultura, hasta arte público. Que se expresa con materiales como: video, fotografía, resina, cerámica, concierto de piano, etc.

Entre sus exposiciones individuales destacan: “Proyecto Japón-Un país en las memorias-“, Aeropuerto Internacional de Ciudad de México (con Taro Zorrilla, 2010), “BLUE PIANO”, Sala de Arte Público Siqueiros (con Aki Takahashi, Cd. de México, 2005), “Flower Place-Already Made-“, Garash Galería (con Jason Rhoades, Cd. de México, 2004), “Apertura del Primer Capítulo”, -Already Made-, OPA (con Jason Rhoades, Guadalajara, Jal., 2003) y participa en diversas exposiciones colectivas en México, Asia, Los Estados Unidos, y Europa.

Es fundadora de la Fundación Paisaje Social A.C. (Cd. de México, 2009), que interviene a la sociedad y los espacios públicos para una mejora en la vida. Realiza talleres en Japón y México con el fin de re-establecer relaciones interpersonales entre individuos.

北海学園大学法学部在学中、カナダとアメリカに滞在。1996年よりメキシコシティ在住。メキシコ自治国立大学院でビジュアルアート学科で絵画を学ぶが、その後コンセプチュアルアート、パフォーマンス、インスタレーションなどに興味を持つようになる。大衆の中の個人の人間の存在についてをテーマにビデオ、写真、樹脂、ピアノのコンサートを企画するなど、様々な技法で作品を制作している。

主な個展にプロジェクトハポン-きおくのなかのくに-(2010, ソリージャタロウとのコラボレーション/メキシコシティ国際空港内ギャラリー)、ブルーピアノ(2005, ピアノ:高橋アキ/シケイロス現代美術センター、メキシコシティ)、フラワープレース-already made-(2004, 協力:ジェイソンローズ/ガラシュギャラリー、メキシコシティ)、Opening the First Chapter-already made-(2003, Oficina de Proyecto de Arte, グアダラハラ)、裏窓(2002, 大阪現代美術センター、大阪)などがある。

様々なビデオプロジェクションや、キュレーション、コーディネーションにも関わる。2011年にはメキシコ在住日本人アーティストを集めたクリスタルジャングル展のキュレーターを努める。アートを手段として使用し、人間の関係をより強くする非営利団体Social Landscape Foundation/Fundación Paisaje SocialA.C.の設立メンバーとして、ワークショップや公共デザインなどをてがける。
